How to write a strong call to action for your instagram captions

A lot of photographers get stuck on what to write for their social media captions, which means you could be missing out on potential leads.

When it comes to social media, your potential photography clients are not going to know what you want them to do unless you tell them. So it’s important to lead them in the direction that you want them to go. But that’s not enough… being as specific as possible in your calls to action can mean higher engagement, increased photo inquiries, and higher conversion rates. β£πŸ™ŒπŸ»β£

Let’s look at some of the most common examples of CTAs in the photo industry: ⁣⁣


+ “EMAIL US” ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
+ “SEND THIS POST TO YOUR PARENTS” ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
+ “SWIPE UP TO BOOK” ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Let’s take these CTAs to the next level so that you can actually get results. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The first one says E-MAIL US in big letters… but for what?!?! Why not add a reason. For example, “Email us to book one of the only 4 spots left for Spring sessions!” ⁣
⁣⁣
The second one tells my potential clients to screenshot the post and send it to their parents. Wanna make it better? Make sure that post has your e-mail address on it as well as the specifics of why they are e-mailing you. πŸ‘ˆπŸ»πŸ’₯ THAT is a purposeful call to action with steps that leads them through what I’m asking them to do!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Again, the third one is a regular old CTA with not a lot of interest. Tell your potential clients WHY they should swipe up to book! How about “Swipe up to book a LUXE senior session now!” Or, “Now booking for March of 2020! Swipe up to book one of only three March sessions!” The latter CTAs show a lot more purpose with increased urgency.⁣ 🚨 ⁣
